• Hello, I love you, won’t you tell me your name?

“Give me back that Leela Fish, Give me that fish!” We sing to our dog. And now, when that Filet of Fish commercial comes on, Leela comes running at full speed to the living room, barking and singing along to “her song.”

Welcome to our crazy home, where making up songs for our pets is standard practice. Where our days begin with screaming at the cats for scratching the chair at 5am, and end with me, my husband, both cats (orange tabbies Sam Cat and Angie) and both border collies (Leela Fish and Bonnie Barrell) piled in the bed together.

What do we do in between? Well we work a lot doing graphic design and computer consulting respectively. But most importantly, we try to have fun… and do whatever our dogs want us to do. It’s probably unhealthy, but it’s fun. And really, isn’t that what matters most?

So why start a blog? Well I linger around good blogging company. After all, I’ve been moonlighting as Web Mistress for the infamous BachelorGirl.net for over a year now. And I convinced my BFF and fellow animal lover friend Susan that she needed a “big girl blog” at She’s One Lucky Dog. And periodically, during the day, a thought will hit me like a lightning bolt – “Ah ha! That would be a great blog topic!” I mean I know you would love to hear about the time the cat got caught in the curtain above my head by a single claw and screamed and cried until I dragged myself out of bed to rescue her from her undignified situation. And I know you want to hear what I think about the books I read and my attempts at photography and my nerdy Internet discoveries…. or maybe you don’t. But that’s what you’ll find here.

So hello Internet. I hope we can be friends.

At least Leela Fish hopes we can be.

p.s. The banner will have the full cast of characters added in time. Look for Bonnie Barrell to make an appearance in the next few days!
